Service? | | Imperial range hoods have come with a five year parts and labor warranty from the date of original purchase for the last fifteen years. All service calls are by appointment only. If service is needed, please call (800) 951-4192. A local service dealer will be contracted to handle the warranty and scheduled accordingly. There is no charge for service during the warranty period. Custom Hoods Mfg Methods and Materials| Can Imperial make custom Hoods? | | Yes, Imperial can make custom hoods within the limitations of the materials and equipment in place. We can customize our own canopy designs and make changes in the width, height or depth on nearly all of our units. Instead of a standard 30 you might need a 31 hood, we can do that. Give us the dimensions and specifications you need and let us build you a custom hood. | | | | Can Imperial Hoods be wired for remote controls? | | Simply indicate on your order that you wish to put a remote switch. This can be done with units that come with Variable controls. | | | | What type of painting system is used? | | All painted hoods use a Powder Coat procedure for an even look and durable finish. | | | | What grade of steel is used? | | Canopy and sub-components are made with 18, 20 and 22 gauge steel. | | | | What type of weld procedure is used? | | Our units are hand welded and in the case of the 304 Stainless Steel, hand polished. | | | | Return to Top |
Blowers Motors CFM Air Flow| Does Imperial have Remote Roof Blowers? | | We do not supply Roof Top blower. The most frequent reason for the remote motor is to get the noise out of the kitchen. With a sound level of 4.6 Sones our hoods are quiet enough that we feel a remote is not needed. Often the consumer does not realize that the greater portion of noise is created by Air Movement, not the motor itself. If there is no noise there is little or no Air Movement (Ventilation). | | | | Can I get Warming Shelves? | | No, we do not include warming shelves. Lighting| What kind of Lighting? | | Imperial uses both incandescent and halogen lighting, depending on the particular model. In some models you will find both Recessed & Spot lights. The bulbs that are located behind the filter system will shine through the filter mesh. The Spot lights may be either Incandescent or Halogen. They are NOT interchangeable. | | | | Is there enough Light? | | We supply several lighting options to insure there is sufficient lighting for you cooking area. | | | | Do you Have Warming Lights? | | No, the design of our hood prevents the use of warming lights. We strive to give as much "In Take" area as possible. Devoting space to warming lights takes away from the filter area and limits the air intake. | | | | Return to Top |
Filters Cleaning| Do you have Baffled Filters? | | Yes, we have baffle filters in selected models. | | | | How do I clean my filters? | | Our filters are dishwasher safe. Depending on cooking habits will determine how often you clean your filters. Baffle filters will need to be cleaned more often due to the accumulation of grease in the grease tray. | | | | Return to Top |
BBQ's| Can we use an Imperial Hood over an Outdoor Bar-B-Que? | | No, we do not manufacture a hood intended for use over a grill.
A grill as an uncontrolled heat source, can produce a tremendous amount of smoke and even with the maximum CFM available you may still end up with smoke in your kitchen.
